1. Introduction & Booking Acceptance

Welcome to TORAKIS Rent a Car. By renting a vehicle from us, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

  • Availability: Reservations are confirmed by car category, not by specific model. If the exact model is unavailable, we provide a similar vehicle at no extra cost.
  • Minimum Rental: 24 hours. Rentals for shorter periods are charged at the full 1-day rate.
  • Late Arrivals: Please notify us of flight delays. We will hold your reservation and adjust meeting times accordingly.

2. Driver Eligibility & Requirements

  • Age Limits: Minimum age is 21 (23 for Large, Crossover, SUV, People Carrier, and Premium). Maximum age is 70. Drivers aged 19-20 or 71-75 may rent by adding “Extended Age Coverage” (€10/day).
  • License: Valid license held for at least 1 year. We accept EU, UK, USA, CAN, AUS, CH, ISR, RUS, and UA licenses. All others require an International Driving Permit (IDP).
  • Additional Drivers: First additional driver is FREE. Second additional driver costs €3/day. Maximum 3 drivers per contract.

3. Renter Responsibilities

  • Fuel Policy: “Like-for-Like”. Return the car with the same fuel level as received. A €12 refueling fee plus fuel cost applies for missing fuel. No refunds for extra fuel.
  • Mileage:
    – 1-2 days: 150km/day included (extra: €0.10/km).
    – 3-28 days: Unlimited mileage.
    – 28+ days: 4,000km limit.
  • Traffic Fines: The renter is 100% responsible for all traffic/parking fines and violations.
  • Smoking & Pets: Smoking is strictly prohibited. A €90 deep cleaning fee applies for smoke odor, excessive dirt, sand, or pet hair.
  • Road Usage: Driving is permitted ONLY on paved roads. Off-road driving is strictly prohibited and voids all insurance.

4. Pick-up / Drop-off & Out of Hours

Standard hours: 09:00 – 21:00. Fees for out-of-hours services:

  • 21:00 to 00:00: €25 fee
  • 00:00 to 07:00: €40 fee
  • 07:00 to 09:00: €25 fee

One-way rentals (different drop-off location) incur a fee of €40 to €150 depending on distance.

5. Payments & Security Deposit

  • Methods: Cash or Credit/Debit card upon arrival. 10% discount for online prepayments. We do NOT accept American Express or Revolut.
  • Deposit: A security deposit is required (Card pre-authorization or Cash). Released immediately upon vehicle return if no new damage or fuel issues exist.

6. Insurance Coverage (Basic & Plus)

Basic Package (Included): Third-Party Liability (TPL) up to €1.3M and CDW with excess.

  • Excess Amounts (CDW): Small/Medium: €700 | Large/SUV: €800 | People Carrier: €1300 | Premium: €2000.

Insurance Plus Package (Optional Upgrade): Includes PAI (€45k coverage), Legal Assistance (€15k), and 24/7 Roadside Assistance. It reduces/removes excess depending on category:

  • Small/Medium: €10/day (Zero excess)
  • Large/SUV: €13/day (Zero excess)
  • People Carrier/Premium: €20-35/day (€650 excess)

Insurance Exclusions (WUG): Tires, wheels, underside, glass, mirrors, interior, and loss of keys are NOT covered unless specifically added.

7. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Free Cancellation: Up to 48 hours before pick-up.
  • Late Cancellation: Less than 48 hours notice may incur a fee of 1-day rental or the full amount.
  • No Show: No refund issued.
  • Early Return: No refund for unused days.

8. Accident Reporting

In case of an accident or damage: 1. Ensure safety and call 112 if needed. 2. Notify the Police for an official report. 3. Contact TORAKIS Support immediately (+30 6955021436). 4. Take photos. 5. An accident administration fee of €40 applies.
